Super Eagles and Bayer 04 Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella has returned to training ahead of Die Werkself‘s league clash against Bayern Munich, Afrik Foot reports.
The former Southampton man picked up a knee injury in September before making a recovery two months later as he was slowly eased into the squad.
However, Tella suffered an ankle problem in January and hasn’t played for Kasper Hjulmand’s side since.

Still, it appears Tella, alongside Boniface, are edging closer in their journey to full recovery.
Ahead of Leverkusen’s game against Bayern Munich, Tella was seen in the team’s final training, while Boniface was training alone.

It is highly unlikely that Victor Boniface will play again this season. After suffering two Anterior Cruciate Ligament injuries earlier in his career, the aftermath caught up with him.
The striker admitted he’s been struggling with a niggling knee pain for almost two years.
The knee injury delayed his supposed transfer to AC Milan, and his struggles were evident during the brief loan spell he had at Werder Bremen.

Boniface’s contract at the Bay Arena runs until the summer of 2028, and he’ll be looking to get back to his best next season.
