Ademola Lookman Eyes Champions League Record

Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman is expected to be in action for Atletico Madrid when they play hosts to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League today.

Going into the game, he is on the cusp of making history. He has scored nine goals in the Champions League, alongside former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins. But if he scores against the Bavarians, he will overtake Martins as Nigeria’s second-highest goalscorer in Champions League history. Victor Osimhen remains at the summit of the rankings with 17 goals in the competition.

Maduka Okoye Gets New Coach At Udinese

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye now has a new coach at Udinese for the first time in two years. Recall that the club sacked their former manager Kosta Runjaic on Monday, following a poor start to the season that saw them pick just five points from their opening ten game. They have also conceded 23 goals, replying with just ten.

Just hours after Runjaic’s sack, the club announced the appointment of Paolo Zanetti as their new coach. Zanetti has had stints at Hellas Verona, Empoli, Venezia, and Ascoli, ad he is just 43 years old.
