Super Eagles and Atletico Madrid attacker Ademola Lookman has revealed he’s not in a rush to project his side as UEFA Champions League finalists, Afrik Foot reports.

The 28-year-old’s goal against Barcelona at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday sent Diego Simeone’s side into the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League.

They’ll now play against Mikel Arteta’s side, with the first leg to be held at Atletico’s home on the 29th of April.

Ademola Lookman plays down UCL final talks

Los Colchoneros will play against Real Sociedad in the Copa Del Rey final, and that’s all the 2024 CAF Player of the Year is looking forward to.

“To be in the semi-final is exciting. Arsenal are a top team, so, it’s amazing to be there,” the former Atalanta man said in an interview with Sporty TV.

“I don’t want to paint any scenarios. The problem with doing that is you always think of the future, of what’s to come.

“Now, we have a tough final, and for me, that’s the most important thing. To be the best in that fixture.

“We have a chance to win something for the club, for the people. The importance of the game is tremendous, and we’ve prepared in the best way.

“Talking about future scenarios is very difficult,” Lookman concluded.
