The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially released the match schedule for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with Nigeria’s Super Falcons set to kick off their campaign against Tunisia on July 6.

The nine-time champions will face the Carthage Ladies in their first group game at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, a day after the tournament opener between hosts Morocco and Zambia.

All of Nigeria’s group stage matches will be played at the same venue in Casablanca.

After their opener against Tunisia, the Falcons will take on Botswana on July 10, before wrapping up their Group B fixtures against Algeria on July 13.

Coach Justin Madugu’s squad is currently in camp in Ikenne as they prepare for a double-header friendly against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses.

The first match is slated for Saturday, May 31, at the Remo Stars Stadium, while the return leg will be played at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

After the Cameroonian friendlies, the team will travel to Portugal for another training camp, where they are expected to face Portugal in a closed, two-match series as part of final preparations for the tournament in Morocco.

The Super Falcons are chasing a record-extending tenth WAFCON title and will need to navigate a tricky group that includes Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana.
