Turkish giants Besiktas are reportedly setting their sights on Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze, currently with AC Milan.
Since his arrival from Villarreal in the summer of 2023 the Super Eagles forward has had a mixed spell with the Rossoneri, struggling to establish himself as a mainstay in the team.
Last season, under former manager Stefano Pioli, the 25-year-old made over 30 appearances, primarily coming off the bench as he played a supporting role to American forward Christian Pulisic.
Following a superb preseason ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, many believed that Chukwueze was poised to cement his place in the Milan setup under Paulo Fonseca.
However, he has struggled to displace Pulisic from the starting XI, preventing him from making the desired impact.
What is Milan's asking price for Chukwueze?
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via TBR Football, the Rossoneri are open to selling him in the winter, and an offer of around £11 million could be enough to seal the deal.
Besiktas, currently positioned 5th in the Super Lig standings, have recorded six wins, two losses, and three draws this season, and trail league leaders Galatasaray by a 10-point margin as they aim to strengthen their squad for a more competitive push.
Turkish outlet Fotomac also reports that the club’s management is reportedly preparing a formal offer as they aim to bolster their attacking options by signing the Super Eagles star.
Chukwueze has made 13 appearances for Milan across all competitions, starting in six of those matches. He is averaging 46 minutes of play per game and has scored one goal and registered two assists.
The Nigeria international, whose contract with Milan runs until the summer of 2028, has also been linked with clubs such as Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid and Premier League clubs West Ham, Aston Villa and Everton.
