Noni Madueke stole the show in Chelsea’s commanding 6-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, netting his first senior hat-trick. The English-born Nigerian forward, who had earlier caused a stir with a now-deleted social media post, made his first Premier League appearance of the season in style, showcasing his immense talent amid swirling transfer rumors linking him with a move to Newcastle United.

Madueke was the star of the second half, scoring all three of his goals to lead Chelsea to victory. The match began with Nicolas Jackson putting the Blues ahead just two minutes in, but Matheus Cunha equalized for Wolves in the 27th minute. Cole Palmer restored Chelsea’s lead just before halftime, only for Jorgen Larsen to level the score deep into first-half stoppage time.

After the break, Madueke took control. He put Chelsea back in front just four minutes into the second half and added his second in the 58th minute. The 22-year-old completed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute, converting another assist from Cole Palmer, who had a standout game himself with three assists. Joao Felix rounded off the scoring in the final ten minutes, sealing a comprehensive win for Chelsea.

Despite being used sparingly by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca so far this season, Madueke’s performance against Wolves has certainly given the manager something to ponder. The winger, previously limited to substitute appearances, made a strong case for his inclusion in the starting lineup moving forward.

However, Madueke’s future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain. Newcastle United have been heavily linked with a move for the Chelsea winger, casting doubt on his long-term prospects with the Blues. Maresca has acknowledged Madueke’s value to the squad but hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a transfer before the window closes. With his hat-trick against Wolves, Madueke has certainly put himself in the spotlight, both for Chelsea and any potential suitors.
