Victor Osimhen’s name continues to dominate transfer speculation across Europe, but even some of the continent’s biggest clubs are beginning to accept the financial reality of chasing the Super Eagles forward.
Osimhen, currently on a season-long loan at Turkish champions Galatasaray from Napoli, has been in stellar form, contributing goals and assists as Cimbom strengthens its grip at the top of the Süper Lig table.
The 26-year-old forward has garnered interest from several of Europe’s top clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Juventus, as well as Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, with Galatasaray also eager to secure his services on a permanent deal.

Fenerbahçe president Ali Koç has become the latest high-profile figure to publicly concede that signing the on-loan Napoli forward—hailed for his rare talent and elite pedigree—would stretch his club’s finances to breaking point.
Fenerbahçe chief warns Osimhen pursuit could exhaust all financial resources
Ali Koç expressed deep reservations about the club’s ability to financially accommodate a move for Victor Osimhen, despite acknowledging the Nigerian striker’s extraordinary talent.
Speaking on a live TRT Spor broadcast, as shared by Fotomac, Koç made it clear that the Nigerian forward is a generational talent but warned that pursuing him could stretch Fenerbahçe’s finances to the brink.

“Do we need a striker? We do. Did today's strikers score few goals? No. But that player (Osimhen) is in a different category. He also comes once in forty years,” Koç stated. “There is talk about whether he will stay or not. Accounts, books, taxes, agreements… If it is done according to the rules, there will be no room for a spending limit!”
Describing Osimhen as a player “above Turkey,” Koç admitted that even entertaining such a move could bankrupt the club under strict financial regulations.
Osimhen's loan spell with the Galatasaray is set to end at the end of the season, with his contract at Napoli including a €75 million (£63.2 million) buyout clause.
