Victor Osimhen: Galatasaray “lay ambush” for Arsenal, Barcelona others over Super Eagles star

Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray have reached a decision regarding Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen amid interest from top European clubs including Arsenal, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, Afrik-Foot reports.

​Osimhen has been the subject of intense speculation in recent months following his impressive performances for both club and country.

Last summer, he was linked to several top sides, but he ultimately chose to join Galatasaray in a big-money move.

His brilliant displays have continued in Istanbul, where he has contributed 57 goals and 16 assists in 73 appearances for the Cimbom.

​The 27-year-old has risen to become a club favorite and is at the center of everything positive happening for the team this season.

​As interest in Victor Osimhen mounts, Galatasaray have decided they will not let their Super Eagles star leave unless they receive a massive fee.

​According to Sporx, the club is unwilling to sell. However, they are “laying an ambush” for the Nigerian’s suitors, as they will only listen to offers in the region of €140 million.

​This valuation, coupled with his likely wage demands, will be significantly high for any interested teams and will likely cause them to reconsider before making an approach.

​The Turkish giants hold the upper hand because Osimhen remains under contract until the summer of 2029.

The Super Eagles star has previously stated that he is happy with the Cimbom; therefore, as it stands, it is difficult to see Osimhen leaving Istanbul this summer.
