Victor Osimhen has declared his commitment to Galatasaray, expressing his desire to continue representing the club at the highest level, despite interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, Afrik Foot reports.
The Nigerian forward is enjoying his off-season in Lagos after scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists in 33 games for Okan Buruk’s side across all competitions.
Those performances have kept him firmly on the radar of elite European clubs heading into the summer window.
Yet despite the relentless interest from these clubs, Galatasaray have constructed a carefully planned strategy to convince Osimhen that his future belongs in Istanbul.

Reports from Turkey indicate the club are prepared to hand him the captain’s armband following Mauro Icardi’s expected departure, with manager Okan Buruk fully behind the decision.
Alongside the captaincy, Galatasaray intend to offer Osimhen the iconic No. 9 jersey. The same number he used in making history at Napoli and with the Nigerian NATIONAL TEAM.
What Osimhen said about his Galatasaray future
The striker’s words have done very little to fuel speculation about an imminent departure. Speaking publicly about the club’s ambitions, Osimhen expressed his commitment to Galatasaray’s long-term goals.

“We have been promoting the Turkish League to the world for years. We are making both the country and the league more visible,” he said in quotes revealed by Fanatik.
“Next season, we will do even better and represent Galatasaray even more strongly. We are the best.
“We have said this many times. And next season we will return with the same hunger. My team, my fans — I missed them so much.
“The best atmosphere in the world is in our stadium. You can come and see. Everyone says this.”
Osimhen has previously spoken about his happiness in Istanbul, and on this occasion, he’s clear about continuing his club career with the record Turkish Champions.

Has the Galatasaray striker shut the door on a move this summer?
On the surface, it appears so, but in reality, the door remains slightly open, and could be further so following a transfer chain reaction involving Julian Alvarez at Atletico Madrid.
Alvarez dropped a bombshell this week by publicly declaring his desire to leave the Spanish club.
“The best thing for me is a transfer; I want to fulfil my dreams,” the Argentine said as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.
Barcelona, having already seen a €100 million bid rejected, are expected to return with an improved offer. If Alvarez departs, Atletico will need a world-class replacement immediately, and Osimhen, whose pressing and goalscoring instincts suit Diego Simeone’s high-octane system almost perfectly, is the most obvious candidate in the current market.
A fee in the region of €140 million to €150 million would stretch Galatasaray’s resistance to its absolute limit, particularly for a club that spent €75 million on him less than a year ago and would be banking a profit of nearly double their investment.

Manchester United’s interest remains the most financially serious of the Premier League approaches, with manager Michael Carrick prepared to spend between £110 million and £130 million to bring Osimhen to Old Trafford to spearhead the attack alongside Benjamin Šeško. Arsenal, meanwhile, have held discussions with Galatasaray’s president directly.
Osimhen’s public loyalty is genuine, and Galatasaray’s retention strategy is strong, but if an offer around €130 million to €150 million is made, the club’s resolve will be tested, and the decision to stay in Istanbul will not be up to the 27-year-old anymore.
