Kaizer Chiefs are set for a crucial Premier Soccer League game on Saturday against Sekhukhune United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
A win for Babina Noko might be enough to see them finish third in the league and seal their Caf Confederation Cup ticket, depending on the outcome of rivals Stellenbosch, who will be playing SuperSport United in another league game that will be played on the same day.
The Glamour Boys come into the match riding high in confidence after winning the Nedbank Cup last weekend. Zitha Kwinika insists that it will be enough motivation for them to complete a double over the Eric Tinkler-led team.
“Finishing in the top eight makes a lot of things possible; The Nedbank Cup win gives us even more motivation to make the top eight so that we can recreate the feeling once again. So, the most important game is always the next game,” the versatile defender said in a pre-match interview.
Chiefs must celebrate but…
“I’m still happy, still excited because it is something we have all been looking for. It has lifted a bit of weight from us, but we are professionals at the end of the day,” he continued.

“We must celebrate and then look to what is ahead. We still have a job at hand, and we know we can’t celebrate forever. But we take this good feeling as the start of better things, and the road to winning more trophies starts this Saturday against Sekhukhune.
“It will be amazing for the Khosi faithful to come out and support us. Their presence helps us a lot, honestly. We want to win as much for them as for ourselves, so their support is a big advantage to us,” Kwinika concluded.
Chiefs' last game will be next weekend against Polokwane City at the FNB Stadium.
