The Glamour Boys have not been consistent this season across all competitions, explaining why many felt Masandawana had the upper hand of making the final appearance for the second time in a row. It was the fourth time the two teams were meeting this season across all competitions, with the Brazilians winning the previous three.
It looked things would go the same way when Teboho Mokoena scored first in favour of the Miguel Cardoso-led team, but Wandile Duba and Ashley du Preez scored in the second-half to ensure Chiefs set up the Soweto derby against the Buccaneers.
‘What is Teboho Mokoena doing?'

Amakhosi legend Doctor Khumalo explained how it felt watching the game between Masandawana and the Glamour Boys.
“It’s very nice in Mzansi. It’s very nice in Mzansi , you see what I saw [on Sunday], I had a great weekend,” the former South Africa international said on SoccerZone.
“I was in Tsolo for a kiddies tournament, Mxolisi Foundation, and when I came back, I sat down and watched the first goal of Sundowns, and I was like ‘Yoh’! What is Teboho doing? The Nedbank Cup final has been scheduled for May 10 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
