Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has explained why he is still not happy with his team even after their unbeaten four-game run.
Pirates secured a second straight PSL win when they beat Orbit College 1-0 on Tuesday thanks to Lebone Seema’s half-volley as they also kept another clean sheet in the league.
That was their fourth game without defeat after 1-1 draws with Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final, which they won on post-match penalties, and 1-0 victory against Stellenbosch in the league.
Ouaddou explains halftime changes

Ouaddou was delighted with the win but not the performance and gave reasons why he made three changes at halftime when Sipho Mbulue, Thalente Mbatha and Nkosikhona Ndaba came on for Abdoulaye Mariko, Sihle Nduli and Deon Hotto.
“In the PSL now, there is no small team,” Ouaddou told SuperSport TV.
“We wanted to keep the ball and preserve the ball in the first half but we did not achieve so I decided to bring players that keep the ball in the middle and to play forward and be able to give the last pass and it was what we did because we were behind the ball in the first half and it was not the plan.
What is annoying the Pirates coach?
The Pirates coach then went into details over why he is not happy with his team even now that they have started posting positive results, having previously suffered back-to-back league losses.
“We still have two phases of Orlando Pirates. I cannot say that we are consistent. I cannot say that in the second half against Mamelodi Sundowns, to have this rhythm, comfort to keep the ball and reach the last third and to be efficient in the last third,” he added.
“If we want to reach the top of the log, we have to be consistent in the last third but the positive is that we had a clean sheet so it gives confidence. We have to build in the second half of the next game.”
