There have been contradicting reports in Mzansi about the future of Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi.
The Tunisian took over the reigns in Amakhosi at the start of the 2024/25 season. However, he has struggled to make an impact, especially in the Premier Soccer League, where the Glamour Boys are struggling to finish in the MTN8 positions. They are currently placed eighth on the table with 30 points from 26 games played.
On Saturday, Nabi helped Chiefs win their first ever silverware in a decade after claiming the Nedbank Cup following a 2-1 win against Orlando Pirates at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Despite that, there were reports Chiefs were still in the market for a new coach to take over from Nabi.
I don’t want to lose the momentum

“I’m very surprised about these rumours and notions because I’m very concentrated on the remaining two games that are coming,” the former AS FAR Rabat coach responded when he was asked about his future on Radio947.
“We are very concentrated for the remaining two games, because it’s very important to finish in the top 8. I don’t want to lose the momentum that the cup has created. I still have a contract and I’m not worried about that. I don’t think it’s the best moment to talk about that.
“Kaizer Chiefs is my family. I have a mission and responsibility, today I want to enjoy the success.”
On Saturday, Chiefs play Sekhukhune United before completing their Premier Soccer League season against Polokwane City.
