Want-away forward Ademola Lookman has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, but the situation remains fluid as Arsenal keep a close eye on the Atalanta star.
The Nigeria international has had a whirlwind week. Fresh off playing in the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid, Lookman requested to be left out of Atalanta’s Serie A match against Lecce. While it was rumoured a PSG approach was behind that, Lookman returned to training amid the absence of a formal bid, leading many to believe the saga had come to an end.
However, according to Sky Sports Germany, Lookman has reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with the Ligue 1 giants, who are now engaged in negotiations with Atalanta to settle on a transfer fee. La Dea are reportedly holding out for a minimum of €40 million, a sum PSG has yet to match.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are closely monitoring the developments reportedly prepared to hijack the deal should negotiations between PSG and Atalanta collapse.
