Paris Saint-Germain have made a significant move in the transfer market, targeting Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman as they seek to bolster their attacking options. The Ligue 1 giants have reportedly offered the Nigerian international a lucrative contract, potentially making him one of the highest-paid Nigerian footballers in Europe.
According to Calciomercato, PSG have proposed a salary of €4.5 million per season, a considerable increase from Lookman’s current earnings of €1.8 million at Atalanta.
The 25-year-old winger expressed his interest in joining the French side by requesting to be left out of Atalanta’s squad for their league opener against Lecce.

While PSG has yet to make a formal bid to Atalanta, they have initiated talks with representatives of the Super Eagles star, signaling their intent. However, Atalanta are standing firm on their valuation of the player, demanding a transfer fee of at least €40 million.
Super Eagles salaries: Where would Ademola Lookman rank?
If the move to PSG materializes, Ademola Lookman’s new salary would place him among the top earners among Nigerian footballers in Europe.
While his proposed €4.5 million per season would still be on the lower end of PSG’s wage scale—where stars like Ousmane Dembélé earn €20 million annually—it would represent a significant financial boost for Lookman compared to his compatriots.
In Ligue 1, Lookman’s potential earnings would far exceed those of other Nigerian players like Terem Moffi, who earns just under €1 million at OGC Nice, and Moses Simon, who takes home €2.4 million annually at Nantes. In the Premier League, players like Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey earn £4.16 million and £2.34 million per year at Fulham, respectively.
Only a few Nigerian players, such as AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze (€5.13 million) and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen (€12.82 million), currently command higher salaries.
