Ebenezer Akinsanmiro’s agent, Cescenzo Cecere has voiced confidence in his client’s steady progress toward Inter Milan’s first team.

Since joining Inter in January 2023 on a four-year deal after two years with Nigeria Premier Football League’s Remo Stars, Akinsanmiro has gained experience in Italy, first debuting in a 4-0 victory over Lecce in February.

This season, he’s on loan at Serie B side Sampdoria, where he is making strides in his development under manager Andrea Sottil.

Cecere recently spoke to Tuttomercatoweb, sharing insights into Akinsanmiro's journey and Inter Milan’s vision for the young talent. “He’s doing very well,” Cecere stated.

“The team struggled initially, but with Andrea Sottil as coach, they’re getting back on track. Inter are following his progress, and we hope he can play for the Nerazzurri soon.”

Akinsanmiro strong start with Sampdoria

Akinsanmiro has accumulated valuable experience at Sampdoria, featuring in 14 Italian Serie B games and netting his first goal in a thrilling 5-3 win over Cesena.

With limited starts, his per-game average of 39 minutes and an overall total of 471 minutes shows his gradual integration into competitive play.

The midfielder’s contributions extend beyond scoring. With an 80% overall passing accuracy, including 89% in his own half and 74% in the opposition’s, he has shown maturity in ball retention.

His defensive stats reveal steady work: 0.9 tackles, 0.4 interceptions, and 2.4 ball recoveries per game underscore his defensive contribution. Akinsanmiro also averages 0.8 shots per game, a testament to his forward thinking, and boasts a 79% dribbling success rate, a skillset that enhances his value on the pitch.

Inter Milan’s decision to sign Akinsanmiro, amid interest from Real Madrid and Benfica, reflects high expectations. The former Nigeria U20 invitee based on the trajectory plan is expected to break into Nerazzurri's senior squad in the near future.
