Super Eagles duo Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey featured as Fulham followed up their FA Cup triumph at Old Trafford with a 2-1 defeat away to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League last week.
After three successive games on the road across all competitions, Marco Silva's side returns home on Sunday for a London derby against Tottenham Hotspur. The last time Fulham played at their Craven Cottage ground was against another capital outfit, Crystal Palace, losing 2-0.
But they would be feeling reasonably confident against a Spurs side that is desperate for a win after three games — one in the UEFA Europa League, two in the Premier League — without any.
As Fulham look to rebound from last week’s defeat and secure a vital win against their London rivals, Iwobi and his compatriot Bassey are expected to play pivotal roles in the team’s efforts.
