Correct score prediction as Osimhen & Galatasaray travel to Kasimpasa to keep title lead intact

Published on by , updated on

Victor Osimhen's Galatasaray may have gone through their last three games undefeated, but in not winning any of those fixtures, they are now on their longest run without victory in all competitions this season.

Galatasaray's lead atop the table — six points wide — remains intact, thanks to their recent draw with title challengers and archrivals Fenerbahce, and they remain on course to secure a third straight championship.

But, of course, with 14 games still to go, there are potential banana skins all over the place, and Okan Buruk's team would be wary of encountering one in the form of a Kasimpasa team keen to increase the not-so-comfortable seven-point margin separating them from the table's relegation zone.

Correct score prediction

Buruk and his charges will aim to extend their unbeaten run in the 2024-25 Turkish Süper Lig while safeguarding their six-point lead at the top of the table as they visit Kasımpaşa on Sunday.

Galatasaray have been formidable this season, going 24 matches without defeat, securing 20 wins and four draws. However, their recent struggles in front of goal may pose a challenge as they look to maintain their dominance.

Meanwhile, Kasımpaşa will be eager to reverse their recent slump, having endured consecutive league defeats and three straight losses across all competitions.

As a result, they have slipped to ninth place in the standings, now trailing the top four by 10 points.

Prediction: Kasimpasa 0:2 Galatasaray

Osimhen to inspire Galatasaray back to winning ways?

The last time Galatasaray won a domestic game, over Rizespor, it was Victor Osimhen who got both goals, bringing his tally of league strikes for the season to 14 — enough to keep him in the race to be top-scorer.

He had a far less fruitful and certainly more frustrating outing in the Intercontinental Derby versus Fenerbahce last Monday, getting only 20 touches of the ball, losing  nearly half of all fuels contested. ,

He also picked the first of an often tempestuous contest's first yellow card, and landing his only shot of the game off target — before being subbed off shortly before the end.

The Super Eagles forward would no doubt be seeking better fortunes in the upcoming trip to face fellow Istanbul outfit Kasimpasa this weekend.

Confidence in his ability to do so is not missplaced, considering it was against the same team Osimhen scored his very first goals in a Galatasaray shirt — a brace in a roller-coaster game that ended 3-3.

A similarly impressive — perhaps even more decisive — performance would surely not be beyond the 26-year-old striker, would it?
