With negotiations over the transfer of Ademola Lookman are at a standstill, UEFA Champions League finalists Inter are pleading with the striker to force a move away from Atalanta.
The 27-year-old is understood to be in favour of a move to Inter, reportedly turning down a more lucrative offer from reigning Serie A champions Napoli to reach an agreement on personal terms with the Nerazzurri: a five-year deal at €4.5 million net per season.
However, so far, the Milan giants have only been able to offer a transfer fee of €40 million to Atalanta, a figure some way short of the player’s €50 million valuation.

Will Lookman go on strike to force Inter move?
This has led to an impasse in talks: Atalanta are willing to listen, but are adamant about their desired fee for Lookman, who still has two years on his contract in Bergamo.
With the discussion deadlocked, Inter have, according to Gazzetta dello Sport as covered by InterNews, asked Lookman to break his loyalty to Atalanta by actively pushing for a transfer.

The Inter hierarchy believes that, if the Nigeria international demands a transfer and possibly goes on strike, it would go some way toward getting La Dea to lower their demands and meet Inter in the middle.
Such a move would call to mind the extreme tactics that have been undertaken this summer by Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres in service of a move to Premier League side Arsenal who, incidentally, also hold an interest in Lookman.
