Former Dutch international Ryan Babel has expressed admiration for Victor Osimhen's exceptional talent, stressing the significance of the Super Eagles striker's next career decision amid growing speculation about his future.
The 25-year-old joined the Turkish giants on loan after failing to secure a permanent move away from Napoli on deadline day.
The towering forward has emerged as a revelation in the Turkish top flight since his arrival in September.
He has made nine goal contributions for the Turkish champions in eight games across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing three assists, while averaging 75 minutes per game.
Babel highlights Osimhen's impact and career crossroads
In recent interview as shared by Fotomac, Babel highlighted Osimhen's immense talent and the pivotal stage in his career as the Nigerian forward faces crucial decisions about his future.
“Osimhen is a great player, he has great talent. Türkiye should be happy to have him,” Babel remarked, adding, “He needs to decide about the future of his career. Will he stay in Galatasaray or will he go to another team? He needs to decide on this,” said Babel.
Throughout a storied journeyman career, Babel has amassed several accolades and showcased his talent across top leagues.
His journey includes notable stints at Ajax, Liverpool, and Fulham, as well as successful spells with three prominent Turkish clubs—Kasımpaşa, Beşiktaş, and Galatasaray.
He also represented the Dutch national team from 2005 to 2021, earning 69 caps and scoring 10 goals.
Although the former Lille Man's loan agreement with the Turkish club is set for a season, it includes a break clause that enables him to depart in January if any of his preferred European clubs show interest and are prepared to meet his buyout clause of €75 million (£63.2 million).
