Terem Moffi’s OGC Nice has announced a significant shakeup in their sporting structure, signing Franck Haise as their new head coach and Florian Maurice as sporting director.

This move comes after Francesco Farioli departed for AFC Ajax and Florent Ghisolfi took on a sporting director role at AS Roma.

The appointment of Haise, the 2023 Ligue 1 Coach of the Year, is a statement of intent from the INEOS-owned French club. Haise's impressive tenure at Lens, where he transformed them into a force in the league, has earned him widespread recognition.

At Nice, Haise will have the exciting task of unlocking the full potential of a promising squad that finished fifth in the French top-flight last season.

A key figure in this project is prolific Nigerian striker, Tarem Moffi. Acquired in a record €30 million deal in January 2023, Ligue 1's eight highest goalscorer for last season has quickly established himself as a clinical forward in the league.

The 24-year-old Moffi already holds the record for being the youngest player on the all-time list of highest-scoring Nigerians in France's foremost division, with a staggering 51 goals to his name. His impressive form continued this past season, with 11 goals and 2 assists in just 28 appearances.

Moffi's talent and firepower upfront will be crucial for Haise's vision. The young Nigerian forward is not just a valuable asset for Nice but also remains one of Nigeria's brightest stars in French football. Currently ranked third on the country's all-time Ligue 1 scorers list, behind only John Utaka and Victor Ikpeba, Moffi has the potential to further etch his name in the history books.

The combination of Haise's tactical prowess and Moffi's finishing ability has the potential to propel Nice to new heights in Ligue 1. Fans will be eagerly anticipating the impact this new sporting structure will have on the team's performance in the upcoming season.
