Manchester United eye €7 million swap deal for Super Eagles star

Manchester United are continuing to keep a close watch on Nigeria international and Besiktas midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Afrik-Foot reports.

Fresh reports from Turkey suggest the Premier League giants could revive their interest in the Super Eagles star ahead of the summer transfer window.

The former Leicester City dynamo has once again emerged as a potential target for the Old Trafford side after they failed to sign him earlier this year.

Ndidi only joined Beşiktaş from Leicester City for around €8 million at the start of the season, but he has quickly established himself as one of the most important players in the squad. His strong tackling, ability to read the game, and experience at the top level have made him a key figure in Istanbul.

Despite his move to Turkey, clubs in England have continued to monitor his performances closely, with Manchester United believed to be leading the race for his signature.

The Red Devils had already made an attempt to sign the 29-year-old during the January transfer window.

However, Beşiktaş refused to sell, as they were unwilling to lose such an important player in the middle of a difficult campaign. That firm stance brought negotiations to an end at the time, but it is now clear that United’s interest has not gone away.

Manchester United and Ndidi: Swap deal involving Altay Bayındır?

As the summer window approaches, a new transfer scenario is beginning to take shape, one that could benefit both clubs.

The reports suggest Manchester United are considering a swap deal that would involve their goalkeeper Altay Bayındır, who is valued at around €7 million.

Bayındır has struggled for regular playing time since arriving at Old Trafford, making only six Premier League appearances this term, and a move could offer him a fresh start.

Interestingly, Beşiktaş are actively looking to strengthen their goalkeeping department ahead of next season, making the Turkish international an attractive option. This has opened the door for a potential player-plus-cash arrangement between the two sides.

This development comes as Beşiktaş continue planning their summer recruitment, particularly in the goalkeeping position where Bayındır is said to be a top target.

A return to the Premier League would mark a significant step for Ndidi, bringing him back to a league where he previously built a strong reputation as one of the most consistent defensive midfielders.

Ndidi has 220 Premier League games, seven goals and 14 assists under his belt and, with an estimated value of only €10 million, he will be a bargain acquisition for Man United.
