Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has reiterated the club's desire to secure Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal, but emphasised the importance of keeping the player's focus intact and delaying transfer discussions until the season ends.

Since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, Osimhen has quickly established himself as a pivotal figure for the Turkish club, scoring twelve goals and registering five assists in fifteen appearances across all competitions.

His impressive performances have fuelled speculation surrounding a possible transfer to several top European clubs, including Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Manchester United.

In a recent interview with Demirören News Agency, Buruk made it clear that the club intends to keep Osimhen until the end of the season despite the growing transfer speculation, as reported by Fotomac.

“I would like Osimhen's transfer fee to be acquired, I would like it very much as a technical director and as a fan,” Buruk said. “The player is with us on loan once. He is with us until the end of the season.

“He wants to be with us. He has no thoughts about the mid-season break. He always confirms this. It is not right to press the player during this process and to bring this issue to the agenda. It is also not right from an economic perspective.

“It is too early to talk. His initiatives can be shown later in the season. I think this process needs to be seen clearly and the player's mind needs to be at ease.

“The best thing to do is not to confuse the player while the season is going on.”
