Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen has underscored the team's determination to achieve victory against rivals Beşiktaş on Monday.

With five points separating the two teams, first-placed Galatasaray will host third-placed Beşiktaş at RAMS Park in a match that could be pivotal for both sides this season.

Since joining Galatasaray last month, the Nigerian forward has made a significant impact, scoring or assisting in every match he has played.

He has tallied three goals and five assists in six appearances across all competitions, while also emphasising the team's readiness and commitment to securing a win, stating that individual scoring is secondary to the collective goal of victory.

Osimhen prioritises team victory over personal accomplishments

In an interview with the press as reported by NTV Spor, Osimhen expressed confidence in the team's readiness and determination.

He acknowledged the challenge of the match, stating, “Of course I think the Beşiktaş match will be tough. But we are ready and will give it our all. We want to get the 3 points. We will renew and prepare for this match. Of course, I think we have a chance for this. I don't care whether I score against Beşiktaş or not. I just want to win. The team wants to win too. I think we are ready.”

The 25-year-old Osimhen joined the Turkish giants on loan after failing to secure a permanent move away from Napoli on deadline day. Osimhen was a focal point in the summer transfer market, attracting interest from several clubs, including Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Although the former Lille Man's loan agreement with the Turkish club is set for a season, it includes a break clause that enables him to depart in January if any of his preferred European clubs show interest and are prepared to meet his buyout clause of €75 million (£63.2 million).
