Nigeria international Jordan Torunarigha is reportedly set to leave KAA Gent this summer.

The 26-year-old has been attracting significant attention following his impressive performances, making him a sought-after talent in the transfer window.

Torunarigha has been an integral member of the Gent team since his arrival from Hertha Berlin in 2022, initially on a loan deal and later permanently, following a series of impressive performances for the Belgian club.

German outlet Bild reports that the centre-back is being pursued by English Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Leeds United, German club TSG Hoffenheim, and Italian side Torino.

Earlier in January, Torunarigha was linked with a move to VfB Stuttgart as a replacement for Dan-Axel Zagadou, who had torn his cruciate ligament, but the deal did not materialise.

He has so far made 104 appearances for The Buffalos, starting 94 of them, and played an integral role in Gent's Belgian Cup victory in the 2021-2022 season.

With his contract with Gent running out in June 2025, Torunarigha has a market value of €5 million.

His football journey began with representing Germany at various youth levels, including U-16, U-18, U-19, U-20, and U-21, and he also featured in the 2020 Germany Olympic team, making three appearances.

However, in June 2023, he switched allegiance to represent Nigeria, a decision reflecting his dual heritage. Torunarigha made his debut for the Super Eagles in a friendly against Mozambique in October 2023, marking his commitment to Nigerian football.

Shortly after, he was named in Jose Peseiro’s provisional squad for AFCON 2024 but missed out on the final selection.
