Super Eagles: What it would cost Brighton to sign Femi Azeez

Super Eagles forward Femi Azeez has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion ahead of the summer transfer deadline day, Afrik-Foot reports.

The 25-year-old has been linked with an exit from Championship club Millwall after expressing his desire to leave the club and fulfill his ambition of playing in the Premier League.

Azeez enjoyed a superb 2025/26 campaign with the Lions, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists across all competitions. His impressive performances also earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season.

He also featured in their first game of the season, in a 2-0 win over Bristol City, although he suffered an injury in the first half of that clash which has ruled him out of action since.

The Super Eagles forward also made his Super Eagles debut earlier in the summer and made an immediate impact. He scored twice on his debut in Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in the semi-finals of the Unity Cup 2026 before also playing an important role in the 3-0 victory over Jamaica in the final.

Since then, Azeez has continued to be linked with a move away from Millwall, with the likes of Hull City and Aston Villa also showing interest. However, Brighton have recently intensified their efforts to sign him.

Super Eagles: How much will Femi Azeez cost Brighton?

According to BBC Sport, Millwall are demanding a fee in the region of £15 million before they will agree to sell Azeez this summer.

Brighton are stepping up their efforts to sign the Nigerian attacker before the summer transfer deadline and have already had offers rejected by Millwall.

The Seagulls had two offers worth around £10 million rejected before submitting another bid of around £15 million.

Brighton are keen to add Azeez to their attacking options, especially with uncertainty surrounding the future of Gambian forward Yankuba Minteh, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool and could leave the club.

If Brighton can meet Millwall’s valuation or reach a compromise with the Championship club, Azeez could complete a move to the Seagulls and finally realize his ambition of playing in the Premier League.

The move would also make him Brighton’s second Nigerian signing of the summer after hihly rated youngster Zadok Yohanna, who joined the club from Swedish side AIK earlier in the transfer window.
