Less than a year after leaving Napoli, Nigeria international Victor Osimhen is once again at the centre of Europe’s transfer conversation, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Galatasaray striker has become one of the hottest properties ahead of the summer window, with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain taking decisive positions on a potential deal.
According to FootMercato, Bayern Munich have emerged as the strongest contender for the Nigerian international. The Bundesliga champions are planning carefully for the future and see Osimhen as a possible long-term successor to Harry Kane.

Kane remains Bayern’s leading striker, but at 32, questions about long-term planning are natural. Head coach Vincent Kompany is said to be personally keen on Osimhen.
Kompany remembers the striker’s explosive early days in Belgium and believes his pace, strength and ruthless finishing would fit perfectly into Bayern’s attacking system.
Osimhen, now 27, is at the peak of his powers. After scoring 37 goals in 41 matches in his debut season in Turkey, he has continued his remarkable form. This campaign, he has already delivered 17 goals and six assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.
In Europe, his goals have been especially decisive, helping Galatasaray reach the knockout round of the Champions League for the first time in over a decade. Although Galatasaray tied him down to a contract running until 2029 after signing him permanently for €75 million, Bayern’s interest could test the Turkish club’s resolve.

When a European powerhouse comes calling, even the strongest stance can soften.
Victor Osimhen: PSG step back
While Bayern push forward, PSG have reportedly taken a different route.
Despite sporting director Luis Campos knowing the striker well from his time in Lille, the Parisian club have reportedly withdrawn from the race.

The main stumbling blocks are financial. Osimhen’s reported salary demands, around €20 million net per season, combined with a potential transfer fee believed to be over €100 million, have discouraged the Ligue 1 champions.
Additionally, PSG coach Luis Enrique is not said to be fully convinced by Osimhen’s profile within his tactical structure. As a result, the French giants have stepped away from negotiations.
Elsewhere in Europe, interest appears to have cooled. Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid are not actively in the market for centre-forwards.

Barcelona, Manchester United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are not actively pursuing a deal at this stage. Wealthy clubs from Saudi Arabia remain attentive, but Osimhen has previously rejected the idea of leaving Europe, believing he still has unfinished business at the highest level.
The Super Eagles forward lifted Napoli to a first Scudetto title in 33 years and played a key role as Galatasaray conquered Turkey last season.
With Bayern Munich readying a move, the German Bundesliga could be Osimhen’s next playground.
