Victor Osimhen: Two Premier League clubs Super Eagles star might join in 2026

Published on by

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen joined Galatasaray from Napoli in a deal worth €75 million last summer, Afrik-Foot reports.

That move came just after a successful loan stint at the club, where he helped them to the Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup. Before his permanent transfer, he was linked to several clubs in the top five leagues like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and PSG. But he ultimately chose to move to Istanbul.

So far, the transfer has proven to be a massive success. Osimhen has contributed 59 goals and 16 assists in 74 appearances for the club, helping them win back-to-back titles.

Even though Osimhen has become a bona fide Galatasaray player, speculation about his future has not ended, as he continues to be linked with top sides in Europe.

Earlier this summer, Barcelona was touted as a potential destination, since the club is looking for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski. However, a move there seems unlikely at the moment.

Other clubs have also been linked with the Nigerian star this summer. In this article, we look at two Premier League clubs Osimhen could potentially join.

Two Premier League Clubs That Victor Osimhen Can Join in 2026

1. Manchester United

Former English Premier League champions Manchester United are a potential destination, as they look to add a new marksman to their roster.

They signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig last summer, but it was only in the second half of the campaign that he finally found his footing. In total, he contributed 12 goals and one assist in 32 appearances.

Going into next season, they need a high-profile forward so they can compete on all fronts: the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

Osimhen provides them with that exact option, as he has the quality to go with his experience. He is more of a finished article than Sesko, is more prolific in the air, and possesses a strong winning mentality.

It is a transfer that the Red Devils can easily finance, covering both the transfer fee and his wages. The Super Eagles star would definitely raise their level and perhaps lead them to silverware.

2. Arsenal

The Gunners are another side that could land Osimhen this summer. Their main striker, Viktor Gyokeres, registered 21 goals and three assists in 51 appearances during his debut campaign.

However, his performances have divided opinion; while some fans feel he was not good enough, others believe he had a solid year.

Talk linking the Gunners with Osimhen has persisted since last season, when Arsenal chief Andrea Berta was reportedly spotted in Turkey. They have also been consistently linked with Osimhen and other strikers this summer.

Osimhen would provide them with a different profile compared to Gyokeres. He is a proper fox-in-the-box striker and is superior to the Swede in aerial duels.

As Arsenal look to stamp their authority on the league this campaign, Osimhen could be a game-changer. They can easily afford him, as they have enough cash in the bank to cover both his fee and his wages.

As of now, neither club has made a decisive move for Osimhen, with Galatasaray demanding north of €100 million for the striker. It remains to be seen if a transfer will materialize before the window closes.
