Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi is reportedly a target for a number of Bundesliga clubs.
The Leicester City man is currently in preseason training with the Foxes, but is available for transfer for a fee of £9 million following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
This has seen him linked with a number of clubs, most notably Manchester United, who are in the market for a backup to midfielder Casemiro, and Borussia Dortmund, whose manager Nico Kovac has been vocal about his desire for a specialist defensive midfielder.

Interest from both ends of the Bundesliga table in Wilfred Ndidi
Recent reports suggest that two other sides from the Bundesliga have thrown their hats into the ring: Hoffenheim and Mainz.
Hoffenheim, are set to lose influential ball magnet Anton Stach to Premier League returnees Leeds United, and are intrigued by the prospect of signing Ndidi, who has been one of Europe’s elite ball winners over the past decade.
Wilfred Ndidi more likely to be Bundesliga-bound than the PL, I’m told. Mainz, Hoffenheim and other German clubs interested. The #lcfc midfielder’s release clause has dropped to £9m after relegation. Meanwhile, it would take £25m+ for Leicester to consider selling El Khannouss.

Mainz are coming off a stellar campaign in which they finished sixth, high enough to secure a place in the Europa Conference League. This could give them the upper hand, as Hoffenheim struggled last term, only narrowly avoiding the relegation places.
Ndidi, 28, joined Leicester in 2017 and has made over 200 appearances in the Premier League for the Foxes. However, with the entirety of his professional career so far only taking in two clubs, a change of scenery could very well hold some appeal.
