Who are the fresh faces added to the Nasreddine Nabi-coached side?
Kaizer Chiefs were among the teams that started their transfer business late but still ended up with a good window nonetheless.
While new coach Nasreddine Nabi wanted to add a winger and a striker, the transfer window shut before he actualised this, with Chiefs having brought in seven players, primarily aimed at strengthening the defence and midfield.
Afrik-Foot highlights all Kaizer Chiefs new signings for the 2024-25 PSL season.
Fiacre Ntwari

Rwanda goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari was the first player signed by Chiefs under the Nabi regime after agreeing to join Amakhosi from TS Galaxy.
The 24-year-old was purchased by the Rockets from AS Kigali at the beginning of the 2023-24 campaign to replace Melusi Buthelezi who had left for Orlando Pirates.
He eventually forced his way into the starting team, went on to play 24 matches across all competitions, and kept nine clean sheets in the process.
With club legend Itumeleng Khune’s contract running out, there was space for a new custodian, and the Glamour Boys moved in for the established Amavubi custodian.
Rushwin Dortley

Central defender Rushwin Dortley was among the next players to arrive at Naturena after agreeing to leave relegated Cape Town Spurs.
Kaizer Chiefs reportedly agreed to pay R6 million for the defender which was too good to turn down for Spurs.
The centre-back established himself as a top player during Spurs’ PSL campaign and even though they went down, he was among those who covered themselves in glory.
He was recently handed a start in the Bafana Bafana team for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers before Nabi also named him among the starters for their PSL opener.
Bongani Sam

Defender Bongani Sam joined Chiefs from rivals Orlando Pirates after loan stints at various clubs.
Sam joined Chiefs from Pirates after spending last season on loan at Moroka Swallows and signed a three-year contract with an option for another.
The 27-year-old left-back played 19 times for Swallows before returning to his parent club but with Pirates having a bloated squad, the Buccaneers opted to sell him to their rivals once they declared their interest.
Gaston Sirino

Former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Gaston Sirino joined Chiefs as a free agent after being released by the Brazilians.
The attacking midfielder was handed a two-year deal just days after Nabi had admitted that he was among players he admired and the coach stayed true to his admiration when he started him in their PSL opener against Gallants.
Sirino, 33, brings plenty of experience to Chiefs after spending six successful years at Sundowns.
Inacio Miguel

Angolan defender Inacio Miguel was Kaizer Chiefs’ fifth signing after luring him from Petro de Luanda.
The 28-year-old centre-back signed a three-year contract with the Glomour Boys after just one season with Petro de Luanda and brings a wealth of experience, having played in the CAF Champions League and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations for Angola.
Born in Torres Vedras, Portugal, Miguel started his career in the European country, beginning with Vila Real in 2014 before short stints at Felgueiras and Braga B. He played in Romania and Latvia before moving to Angola with Petro in 2023.
Njabulo Blom

Former Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom made a sensational return to Naturena from MLS club St Louis City FC.
Blom left Chiefs for St Louis in December 2022 and after a good first season with the Missouri-based club, his game time reduced and opted to return home.
Chiefs signed the midfielder on a one-year loan deal but have the option to make it permanent.
Bradley Cross

Chiefs signed left-back Bradley Cross from Golden Arrows to beef up their defence and the 23-year-old was handed a four-year contract after Amakhosi triggered his R3 million buyout clause.
Cross enjoyed a successful season with the Durban-based club last year, earning the distinction of joint-player of the year. He participated in 24 matches for the team across various competitions.
He made a starring debut in 2024-25 when he delivered an assist for Chiefs’ second goal as they beat Marumo Gallants 2-1.
