Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has shaken off an Achilles tendon concern and is set to feature for Atalanta in their crucial clash against Roma on Monday night, having returned to full training with the squad.
Lookman had been a doubt for Monday’s clash at the Gewiss Stadium after experiencing inflammation in his right Achilles tendon, which sidelined him from training on Friday and Saturday.
However, those concerns have now been allayed, as the 28-year-old resumed full training on Sunday and is expected to be available for selection by Gian Piero Gasperini.

Ademola Lookman crucial to Atalanta's Champions League charge
Ademola Lookman has been a consistent presence in Atalanta’s Serie A campaign, starting each of their last 10 league matches and contributing four goals during that stretch.
The fromer RB Leipzig forward has now tallied 19 goals and six assists in 36 appearances across all competitions this season. The last time Gasperini’s side played without the reigning African Player of the Year was back in February—drawing 0-0 with Cagliari after he also missed the 5-0 rout of Verona and a 1-1 draw with Torino.
Lookman ended a seven-game goal drought in Atalanta’s recent win over Monza, reinforcing his importance as La Dea, currently third with 68 points, push for a coveted Champions League spot.

Having recently ranked top of the Serie A striker rankings by renowned Italian outlet, TuttoMercatoWeb, the forward has been linked with moves to several top European clubs, including Premier League sides Manchester City, Arsenal, and Newcastle United.
Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli have also expressed interest.
