Italian giants AC Milan have made no secret of their desire to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface.
The Bayer Leverkusen striker, who recently stirred controversy by appearing to retire from international football, has been the subject of transfer rumours and interest all through 2025, with the latest links suggesting he could make San Siro his new home this summer. Milan are in the midst of a rebuild, and are in need of a new standard bearer upfront for new manager Massimiliano Allegri.
The club have placed Boniface at the top of their list of prospective no.9s. However, whether they will be able to afford him remains to be seen.

Can Milan afford Leverkusen’s Boniface asking price?
According to reports out of Italy, the Rossoneri have allocated between €20-25 million for their striker.
Put simply, a bid of that magnitude is unlikely to be received favourably by Bayer Leverkusen. For one thing, the 2024 Bundesliga champions value Boniface at around €45-50 million; for another, they have indicated their willingness to retain him should a satisfactory offer not emerge.

After initial scepticism, new manager Erik ten Hag is, by all accounts, happy to have both Boniface and Patrik Schick at the club together.
While there is no official communication to that effect out of Milan, it would appear that their interest in the 24-year-old has now hit the rocks.
